Gordon Cheng also known as Effspot is a YouTuber and car spotter based in Los Angeles CA. His YouTube channel currently has over 726,000 subscribers And over 272 million views since the channel started in 2011. His videos consist mainly of car spotting in Beverly Hills. as well as documenting some of the most insane things that happen on the streets of Los Angeles.

In recent months though, The Effspot channel has gained a new revival with his unique and crazy car collection. When you think of a crazy collection of YouTube cars supercars are For at the center of it all. But Gordon has managed to make even the most basic cars stand out in the huge landscape of YouTube.

Some of the cars simply have exhausts on them. That makes them sound way better than anyone ever intended. Here’s a rundown of Some of the cars owned by Effspot.

1. Toyota Prius

Gordon owns a first-generation Toyota Prius which is the daily driver of the channel. he has owned this car the longest and it is the vehicle of choice whenever he needs to go car spotting and doesn’t want to draw attention to himself.

2. BMW M4

Gordon owned a beautiful 2015 BMW M4 finished in Yas Marina blue. It Was a 2 door coupe and had a twin-turbo 3.0 liter inline 6 cylinder engine making 425 horsepower. It also had a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all the power was sent to the rear wheels.

Gordon used the car to go for car meets as well as car spotting. It even participated in the Pagani Raduno when it was held in the United States. He owned the car for a total of 3 years and by the time he sold it, it had over 46,000 miles on it.

3. Jaguar F type SVR

Gordon bought a Jaguar F-Type SVR in 2018 finish in a beautiful ultra blue color. It has a 5-liter supercharged V8 engine making 567 horsepower, lesser models of the F-Type were rear-wheel-drive only but the SVR was all-wheel drive. For someone like Gordon who is now known for his very loud car collection, this car was left completely stock until the very end but it was very loud from the factory.

This car was also featured heavily on the channel and was used to make a lot of noise because the exhaust sounded so good. Jaguar is part of Land Rover and we all know that their cars are not very reliable. This car was on for about almost 3 years I was eventually sold due to continuous issues related to the catalytic converters.

4. Toyota Cresta (Bosozoku)

Gordon owns a Toyota Cresta that was made between 1980 and 1984 and has been converted to a Bosozoku car.  the car was bought as is in Japan and was imported into the United States.  Bosozoku is a Japanese word that means to “run out of control”. It is a Japanese youth culture that was originally associated with customizing motorcycles. This car has been built to mimic the Bosozoku style.

This car has been completely redone with a custom wide body kit.  it has small 14 inch tires and wheels which are actually very wide. Its huge rear wing and front splitter are all just for show as the car is really slow and produces no form of downforce.  It also has removable 2 m long straight pipes which are just for show and not meant to be used on the road. The car itself is completely straight piped but its 4 cylinder engine does not sound really good but it is very loud.

It is also painted in a unique color scheme which really stands out amongst every other car as if the modifications don’t do enough. The car is also equipped with some interior lighting and a very cheerful sounding horn.

5. Mercedes Benz S600 V12

This is the third-gen Mercedes W140 S600 made between 1991 and 1998 and was purchased in Japan. This car has a variety of engines but this particular one has a 6 liter V12 which makes 400 horsepower. Nothing special has been done to this car except for an exhaust which transforms the skull completely. He has a custom $12000 brilliant exhaust with equal-length headers installed in Japan.

The Pagani Zonda uses an upgraded variant of this engine which sounds really good in that car. The equal length headers in this S600 make it sound just as good as the Pagani while maintaining the speed limit. Many videos have been made of this car trolling supercar owners and sounding way better than them.

6. Toyota Century

The Toyota century is the most luxurious and exclusive car made by Toyota and sold only in Japan. Toyota hand pics food they sell this car to as it’s only made exclusively two customers that Toyota has selected. This one is a second-generation Toyota century made between 1997 and 2017. It is the unique one of the 3 generations as this has a V12 engine while the first and third-generation both have V8’s. It was bought on the used market in Japan.

Just like the S600 this century has had equal length headers installed by brilliant exhaust. This one cost $14000 and makes noises that were never intended by the Toyota engineers. Unfortunately due to covert and some other unforeseen issues, this car is yet to be imported to the United States. Gordon has owned this car for almost a year and is still making plans of bringing it over.

7. Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

This is the first and only supercar in the Effspot garage. It’s a white first-generation Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. It was bought from Canada and took about two months to be imported into the United States. It has a 5.0 liter naturally aspirated V10 which is the best sounding engine available for the Gallardo. The Superleggera produces 523 horsepower which is about 30 more than the original glad you came with.

In the usual Effspot fashion, not much is done but a crazy-sounding exhaust has been installed to this car. The 5.0-liter engine in this car sounds good from the factory but this new exhaust takes it to a whole nother level. Fluid Motor Union are the crazy guys responsible for building this exhaust and is easily the loudest exhaust fitted to a Lamborghini. Gordon now doesn’t just troll supercars but can easily keep up with them. The start-up of this car is deafening and I’m sure it is highly illegal in the state of California

Car collections are known to have high-end supercars or vintage cars which are admired by the older guys. But Effspot has managed to create a unique car collection for himself among YouTubers. His latest collection of supercars with brilliant sounding exhaust have made him stand out completely amongst the sea of YouTubers on YouTube videos. If you want a unique perspective of a supercar collection as well as the crazy things that go on in Los Angeles, then the Effspot channel is highly recommended.

Do you like the cars on this list or are you more into supercars? As car guys, we can always find a way to appreciate every car culture.
